FUERZABRUTA

Created by De La Gaurda
Synopsis: The show focuses on movement; it includes a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls, individuals racing to connect from opposite sides of a whirling sail, and performers frolicking and interacting in a watery world suspended just above the audience.

NEW YORK TIMES:
"Patrons are not required to think, feel or even sit down for this hourlong sensory bath at the Daryl Roth Theater. Standing and gaping are all that is strictly necessary, although jumping up and down and dancing are intermittently encouraged."

THEATERMANIA:
"But while this 60-minute entertainment lives up to its name -- which means "Brute Force" -- it lacks the sheer sense of surprise of its predecessor. And no one will swoop down and fly you up to the ceiling either."

NEW YORK POST:

If you're open to something highly theatrical, throbbingly loud and almost ferociously stimulating (and wet), a visit to "Fuerzabruta" will provide an evening of jaw-dropping sensation."

TIME OUT NY:
" But neither director Diqui James nor his energetic ensemble seems to care much about what it all means. This visually ingenious work aims to blow your sober mind, but a little chemical assistance would probably help"

NEW YORK SUN:
"With its jostling mosh pit of a crowd, strobe lights, feel-itin-your-spine bass boost, and scantily-clad girls wriggling around in water, "Fuerzabruta" would make a great nightclub concept. But as it opened last night at the Daryl Roth Theatre — as a $70 night at the theater — it's unsatisfying: an undercooked, smallish portion of "Cirque du Soleil."
